Restaurant Le Pérolles, Fribourg

The restaurant Le Pérolles is the best gastronomic restaurant in Fribourg with one star awarded to the chef Pierre-André Ayer by the Michelin guide. In its new version started in 2019, there is now also a brasserie associated to the restaurant, named “Le Petit Pérolles” (the small Pérolles) Be prepared for an unforgettable fine-dining experience.

The restaurant Le Pérolles in Fribourg is located in modern building by architect Mario Botta in the center of town next to the train station, on a street that has the same name than the restaurant. The cuisine is definitively gastronomic and you have to pay for this with a top menu priced between 150 and 200 Swiss francs. In the menu you can find gastronomic French plates like medallion of foie gras with ravioli;  sea bass with aubergine, tapenade and pesto; carpaccio of beef fillet with spring onions and diced new potatoes. The wine list is also impressive with some of the best Bordeaux in the world available for a fine dining experience. The restaurant is mentioned in the Michelin and Gault Millau gastronomic guides. The food is definitively simpler on the Petit Pérolles side that offer a daily lunch menu between 20 and 30 francs.
