Maison Cailler – Broc

The newly opened Maison Cailler in Broc-Gruyere is a place next to Bulle where all your senses can be immersed in the world of the famous Cailler chocolate. François-Louis Cailler brought the first chocolate recipe to Switzerland in 1819.

Discover with all your senses how Cailler chocolate bars are made and try a freshly-made bar for yourself. Inside the “Atelier du Chocolat” you can learn the secrets of making the finest chocolate creations (reservation necessary). During the week-ends, you can choose your favorite ingredients and create your own personalized chocolate bar in our area “Mon chocolat Cailler”. Add fruits or nuts, local or more exotic ingredients and create your own chocolate bar according to your tastes and desires, to offer to your beloved ones or as a gift to yourself! The unique museum tour of the Maison Cailler last about one hour leads you through the history of chocolate, from Aztec cocoa ceremonies to the innovations of today. You can also enjoy some light refreshment in the cafe and some delectable chocolate treats from the shop.
