The Belluard Bollwerk International of Fribourg is an arts festival created in 1983. The 2018 edition will run from June 28 to July 7. It takes place every year during ten days and announces the summer in the city of Fribourg, Switzerland.
The Belluard Bollwerk International Festival Fribourg presents projects from the fields of theatre, dance, performance, music, visual arts, video, music and workshops in related art forms. The two main venues are the medieval bulwark, which gave the festival its name, and the Ancienne Gare (Old Train Station), but presentations can happen in conventional or unexpected places, inside or in the public space. The Belluard Bollwerk International Festival Fribourg is multilingual and allows discovering local and international artists. The human scale of the event and the welcoming festival center create encounters and a community experience. Workshops, talk-backs and other meetings formats expand the communication around the Belluard Bollwerk International Festival Fribourg with the city and its inhabitants.
