The 2023 edition of the Fribourg International Film Festival will take place March 17 to 26. The Fribourg International Film Festival (Festival International de Films de Fribourg in French) shorted as FIFF aims to promote exchange between all cultures through the medium of film.
The Fribourg International Film Festival fosters achievements that provoke reflection and invite dialogue. FIFF is a festival that sheds light on blind spots, reveals new talents and puts the history of cinema in context with innovative angles. It is focused on selected movies from Asia, Africa and Latin America. The Grand Prize is the main award of the Fribourg International Film Festival.
The Festival takes place every year in March and takes part in projects all year long. It is one of the main yearly events for Fribourg. FIFF employs nine persons on a yearly contract and about fifteen others join the team for the months before the Festival. Each edition is possible with the help of a great number of volunteers.
